Water-based coating: drying and viscosity
Water evaporates from the coating and penetrates absorbent substrates. Effective drying also needs airflow and extraction. Increasing IR power alone can overheat the pile. Match the coating amount and drying to the material and ink coverage.
Record viscosity together with measurement method and sample temperature. Do not add water or defoamer by guesswork. Follow the permitted correction range for the exact coating.
