VARN additives support stable dampening in sheetfed offset printing. Match the concentrate to water quality, ink and dampening equipment. Verify IPA reduction through a trial with your materials.

Start with the hardness, conductivity and alkalinity of your water. Also provide the machine model, board and ink type, and current IPA share. The same concentrate may require different settings with different water.
Select a concentration from the given ranges for your machine and water. Do not use one recipe for all processes in the print shop. Measure fresh solution and record the reference point for later control.

Gradually reduce IPA content after selecting the appropriate concentrate and adjusting dampening settings. Monitor print stability, plate cleanliness, and the ink-water balance. We cannot guarantee alcohol-free printing for every combination of materials.
If you use reverse osmosis (RO) water, check whether the water hardness requires adjustment. Aqua Conditioner conditions the water but does not replace fountain solution concentrate. For deposits in the circuit, select separate cleaning the installation.
Some additives cover both applications. Check the specific variant, plate and water. For packaging, assess the complete system rather than the LM label alone.
