What distinguishes Transparent White?

Transparent White is a transparent mixing white, not an opaque white. It does not cover dark substrates.

Easy Mix BIO in practice

  • Press-ready: no need to add driers or anti-skinning agents.
  • Transparency: lighten a blend without replacing the base with an opaque white.
  • Good setting: supports finishing after you confirm that the print is ready.

The series suits coated and uncoated papers and boards. Assess the result on a substrate similar to your production stock. Paper absorbency and ink film thickness affect the result.

Can you use formulas from the latest Pantone guide?

Do not automatically use formulas from Pantone guides issued since 2023 with Easy Mix BIO. The high-fastness base inks introduced then are not part of this series. Formulate each blend for the components you actually use.

System certification does not make every new formula compatible with every base-ink set. Compare the prepared colour with a physical reference before production.

How should you select ink for finishing?

Check the fastness table for Transparent White. Full-strength and tinted inks can have different lightfastness. Confirm ink, substrate and process compatibility before varnishing or laminating.

Does this ink suit UV curing or every film substrate?

No. Select a suitable product for UV curing and non-absorbent substrates. Do not use this series for food packaging without a functional barrier.

Compare other Pantone inks by exact name, application and fastness. Select Easy Mix BIO Transparent White for your actual process. Do not substitute a base ink with a similar shade.

Lightfastness to ISO 12040: 1 = low; 8 = high. 100% = full strength; 10% = tint. Resistance to ISO 2836: + = resistant; +/− = partly resistant; − = not resistant. Opacity: t = transparent; so = slightly opaque; o = opaque. — = no value in the data sheet. ¹ The label changes colour, but the caustic soda solution does not. Series properties: 1 = weakly expressed; 7 = strongly expressed. Ratings apply under standard printing conditions.
