Novavit F700 SPEED BIO Magenta is a component of the K+E CMYK series for conventional sheetfed offset printing. Choose the series for fast straight and perfecting printing. Fast setting and rub resistance help subsequent sheet processing.

Where should you use the F700 SPEED BIO series?

Use the series on gloss-coated or matt-coated paper and board. It also suits uncoated substrates. Consider paper absorbency, ink coverage and finishing requirements when choosing the series.

The ink stays fresh in the ink duct. Its binder system supports a stable ink-water balance and reduces misting at high speeds. This helps maintain consistent conditions throughout the run. This conventional ink does not use UV curing.

Magenta in the F700 SPEED BIO series

Magenta is the M component in four-colour printing. This ink is not alkali-resistant. Consider this when selecting a coating and assessing the finished print.

  • Abrasion resistance : helps protect the printed image during subsequent operations.
  • Print sharpness : supports clear reproduction of image detail.

Ink selection and limitations

Does F700 SPEED BIO suit perfecting printing?

Yes. The current SPEED BIO series supports straight and perfecting printing. Do not apply restrictions from the older SPEED PLUS series. When comparing CMYK process inks, check the complete product designation.

Do all colours have the same fastness?

No. Check lightfastness and chemical resistance in the table for each colour. Magenta differs from the other CMYK components in alkali resistance. Test the actual substrate before finishing.

When should you choose a different series?

Do not use this ink for food packaging without a functional barrier. Choose a suitable specialist ink for films and other non-absorbent substrates. UV printing requires an ink designed for radiation curing.

Choose the complete F700 SPEED BIO colour set for CMYK printing. When changing materials, check setting and fastness on the actual production paper.

Lightfastness to ISO 12040: 1 (low) to 8 (high). Resistance to ISO 2836: + = resistant; − = not resistant. Printing properties: 1 = weakly expressed; 7 = strongly expressed. The ratings reflect standard printing conditions. Particular conditions, such as very high ink densities, may change the classification of some properties.
