Novavit F918 SUPREME BIO Yellow is a component of the K+E CMYK ink series for conventional sheetfed offset printing. The series combines high colour strength with very fast setting. Use it for straight and perfecting printing.
Yellow is the Y component in four-colour printing. Process Yellow and Pantone Yellow or Yellow 012 serve different purposes. Do not substitute them based on colour names alone.
Which substrates suit the F918 SUPREME BIO series?
The series suits gloss-coated and matt-coated papers and boards. You can also use it on uncoated papers and boards. Match the ink film to substrate absorbency and the required print appearance.
How does SUPREME BIO help on press?
- Very fast setting helps move sheets to finishing after checking that the print is ready.
- Freshness in the ink duct combines with fast setting on a suitable substrate.
- Stable ink-water balance helps maintain consistent conditions throughout the run.
- Rub resistance and print sharpness support the quality of the finished print.
The formulation uses renewable raw materials. The series suits work produced to ISO 12647-2. The ink does not replace control of the complete printing process.
F918 or F700 SPEED BIO?
Both series suit sheetfed offset printing, including perfecting. Do not choose between them on this criterion alone. Compare setting, performance on the actual paper and finishing requirements.
Find the current range under CMYK process inks. For CMYK printing, choose the complete F918 SUPREME BIO colour set. Test the result whenever you change the set.
Fastness and limitations: questions before buying
Can Yellow be varnished or laminated?
Check this colour’s fastness table and compatibility with your finishing process. Hot-calendering resistance does not separately confirm suitability for lamination. Test the complete combination of materials.
Does BIO mean suitability for all food packaging?
No. Do not use this series for food packaging without a functional barrier. Choose suitable products for films, UV curing and other specialist applications.
